Shiraz rugs are woven on a wool foundation with a woollen pile. These tribal rugs are almost always geometrical in style. Patterns tend to be small medallions or geometric figures scattered across the rugs. Strong reds, terracotta and brown are the most typical colour of Shiraz rugs, they are extremely durable and compliment wooden floors well.
