HIGH QUALITY MATERIAL -Vintage fine Persian Tabriz rug with oval medallion and swirling floral design, circa 1970. Works such as these were made as a display of wealth, power, and sophistication. They are meant to instil a sense of the sublime in both their design and use of color. They not only show the skill of the weavers, but also that of the dye works that produced the vibrant hues. This rug uses both warm and cool colors to produce contrast and to make the various elements of the design stand out.
PILE HEIGHT - Rugs with a pile height of 1 cm, are tightly knotted and dense. Because they are durable and require light vacuuming, this height is ideal for high-traffic areas such as entryways, living rooms and dining rooms.
MATERIAL – WOOL & SILK - Light as a feather but strong as steel — silk is world renowned as the most luxurious and fine material on the plant. It is a natural fiber made by the silkworm. Though it is considered fine and delicate, do not be misled, silk is extraordinarily durable. When wool & silk are used to make a rug, the rug has more dimension and usually provokes a more eye catching appearance. Benefits include breathes well and is hypoallergenic. Not to mention wool is a natural fibre that has many benefits. It offers soundproofing, it is stain resistant, also it hold 30% of the moisture so that in the summer time it is cool on your feet and in the winter time it is warm. As wool ages it looks better and wears for generations.
CONSTRUCTION – HANDKNOTTED - Theprocess of handknotted, which involves hand weaving and knotting each individual strand of fibre used for these rugs. As a result of this process, the production time is much longer, which is why hand knotted rugs are often the most expensive type of rugs available, however they have the added benefit of being extremely long lasting. Handknotted rugs are often one of a kind pieces, and can be the type of rug that is handed down through family generations.

Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean, white dry sponge or cloth. For hard-to-remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended.
To protect your investment, use a rug pad. A rug pad provides traction between the rug and floor to prevent slipping, adds cushion, and improve durability.
Vacuum regularly without beater bar. If your vacuum has variable power settings, set on low. Vacuum full length of the rug, turn and repeat to the next area, rather than back and forth motion.
Should you encounter a crease, it can be easily removed through the process of reverse rolling. Start by flipping the rug upside down and roll in both directions (length and width). While rolling the rug exert pressure where the crease is visible, this will loosen the foundation to allow the rug to lay flat. For more stubborn creases, keeping the rug rolled and tied for a few hours in a reversed position may be more effective.
Rotate or reposition your rug and/or rug pad every 3 months. Rotating your rug will promote even surface wear, extending its life and decreasing the likelihood of the rug pad or exposed rug back adhering to the floor surface where they are placed. Store your rug by rolling it front side out and wrapping in cloth for protection. Do not fold or store rug in an airtight plastic bag. Place it in a dry, well-ventilated area.
