Mission
Our goal at Tapis Rugs & Carpet is to make rugs beautiful as it can be. We are passionate about cultivating a more ethical, transparent, and sustainable carpet industry. The journey to making better things in a better way is a long one, and we’re just getting started. Here are a few of our proudest moments so far:
Materials Matters
We strive to create innovative products that reflect and respect the wild places that inspire so much within us.
This is why you'll find many of our products use natural and recycled materials where possible.
ECO-CONSCIOUS ROOTS
Create products with purpose. We use natural materials such as New Zealand Wool and Bamboo Silk - they are renewable, biodegradable and carbon neutral and they can be used without depleting or damaging the environment.
We also use recycled Nylon which prevents prolonging landfill life and reducing toxic emissions from incinerators. It helps promote new recycling streams for nylon products that are no longer usable. And it causes less air, water, and soil contamination compared to using non-recycled nylon.
Made With Love
Our hand made rugs provide jobs for adults in developing countries such as Nepal & India. Partnering with GoodWeave, a foundation based in Nepal, working to end illegal child labor in the carpet industry. Employment is empowering and gratifying - and we are proud to be a part of their vision.
