Return Policy

Shopping for your home should be fun, so don't be afraid to mix things up! If an item isn't the perfect match, return it for a refund within 30 days of delivery in the original condition and packaging.

We offer two methods of returns:

1. You can receive a full refund in the form of store credit.

2. You can also receive a refund of the merchandise total in your original payment method— all you need to do is ship the item back to us. Return credits are issued within 3-5 business days once the item is received and inspected. Please note: With this option, you will be responsible for paying the carrier directly for return shipping costs. If you return an item that is offered with free shipping, the original outbound shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. In addition, a restocking fee* will be applicable to items being returned.

Tapis does not cover the cost for return shipping. As soon as we receive the return from you to our store, we will begin to process the return which will take 3-5 business days.


Return Eligibility
Items must be in new condition and in the original packaging to qualify for a refund (please do not use or modify the product in any way). The few exceptions that cannot be returned include:

Sale Items
Gift Certificates
Customized Items

*All custom orders are final and deposits are non-refundable.


Extended Holiday Return Policy!
You have until January 31 to return orders placed between November 1 and December 31. Please note, you will be responsible for return shipping costs. If you receive an item that has a problem, please report the issue through email us at support@tapisrugs.com



If your product has a manufacturer's defect, we can either repair the defective part or, if necessary, the entire unit.
We select only the most reliable, highest quality products and the most reputable manufacturers to work with. If you have any issues or questions, don't hesitate to seek our many resources.


Clearance Items
As stated at the time of your purchase, clearance items cannot be returned. However, if you received this item and find there is substantial damage or some other issue, please get in touch with us. Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@tapisrugs.com and send your item to: 1259 Caledonia Road Toronto Ontario CA M6A 2X6.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
