A timeless antique rug that will add soul to your home
VERSATILE BEAUTY - The metropolitan city of Tehran on the slopes of the mountains of Shemiran and at the foot of the magnificent mount of Damavand is the world famous capital of Iran and the province of Tehran. Carpets made in Tehran have curvilinear patterns. The majority are around fifty years old.
LONG LASTING - Its hand knotted construction ensures durability and no shedding.
STAIN RESISTANT - Easy to clean and made to last for a lifetime. Can be spot cleaned for easy maintenance.
HIGH-QUALITY MATERIAL - Antique Tehran rugs are not only high quality, they are also rare. Most high-quality Tehran rugs pre-date 1945. Newer, high-quality Tehran rugs are generally only produced in very small numbers by master-weavers. These rugs represent the ultimate beauty and quality considered an essential aspect of Persian carpetry.
PILE HEIGHT - Rugs with a pile height of .45"are tightly knotted and dense. Because they are durable and require light vacuuming, this height is ideal for high-traffic areas such as entryways, living rooms, and dining rooms.
MATERIAL – WOOL - This natural fibre has many benefits. It offers soundproofing, it is stain resistant, also it holds 30% of the moisture so that in the summer time it is cool on your feet and in the winter time it is warm. As wool ages, it looks better and wears for generations.
CONSTRUCTION – HANDKNOTTED - The process of hand knotted, which involves hand-weaving and knotting each individual strand of fibre used for these rugs. As a result of this process, the production time is much longer, which is why hand knotted rugs are often the most expensive type of rugs available, however, they have the added benefit of being extremely long lasting. Hand knotted rugs are often one-of-a-kind pieces, and can be the type of rug that is handed down through family generations.

PROPER SET-UP & CARE
Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean, white dry sponge or cloth. For hard-to-remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended.
To protect your investment, use a rug pad. A rug pad provides traction between the rug and floor to prevent slipping, adds cushion, and improve durability.
Vacuum regularly without beater bar. If your vacuum has variable power settings, set on low. Vacuum full length of the rug, turn and repeat to the next area, rather than back and forth motion.
Should you encounter a crease, it can be easily removed through the process of reverse rolling. Start by flipping the rug upside down and roll in both directions (length and width). While rolling the rug exert pressure where the crease is visible, this will loosen the foundation to allow the rug to lay flat. For more stubborn creases, keeping the rug rolled and tied for a few hours in a reversed position may be more effective.
Rotate or reposition your rug and/or rug pad every 3 months. Rotating your rug will promote even surface wear, extending its life and decreasing the likelihood of the rug pad or exposed rug back adhering to the floor surface where they are placed. Store your rug by rolling it front side out and wrapping in cloth for protection. Do not fold or store rug in an airtight plastic bag. Place it in a dry, well-ventilated area.
